SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY & GOOD CAUSES
Our pilot projects contain a combination of onsite sustainable soil and habitat creation as well as renewable energy production.
Volt Farmer will also create ‘Social Impact Credits’ to spread the project impact on local schools, community groups, and good causes. ‘Corporate Power Offtake’ customers can specify where the credits are used whether in the local community or with a cause of their choosing. You can choose what type of ‘Social impact Credit’ you wish to gift ie. Planting, water, energy or recycling.
If you host a Volt Farmer Clean Energy Farm you get wholesale clean energy, project naming rights and ongoing social impact all for less than the cost of traditional grid energy.
This approach broadens the real world social impact of supporting a Volt Farmer Clean Energy Farm
CREATING SOCIAL IMPACT CREDITS
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Simply agree to buy the discounted clean electricity and produce ‘Social Impact Credits’ to spend on a cause or social project of your choice.
Host the solar farm and get even cheaper energy.
All Volt Farmer projects generate ‘Social Impact Credits’ – We reinvest a percentage of the project’s construction cost revenue into supporting local initiatives. It is part of our shared value ethics. Our customers get to decide where those credits are awarded.
The bigger the farm the more Social impact Credits. Contracting to buy your power from the solar farm via our power purchase agreement before it is built generates the ‘Social Capital Credits’ which can be transformed into real-world benefits for your social project.
SIMPLY BUY YOUR ELECTRICITY FROM A VOLT FARMER PROJECT AND SHARE YOUR BUSINESS VALUES WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY.
Volt Farmer ‘Social impact Credits’ can be spent on a project of your choice. The plan is to provide a platform where organisations and charities can access these social impact credits to deliver projects they feel passionately about.
Tree Planting Program
Every Volt Farmer project comes with tree credits which can be spent supporting local community projects or your solar farm to increase habitat
Nominate a community project or school and we will supply recycling equipment to capture rainwater, make compost or a worm farm
Carbon Draw Down
Plants naturally absorb CO2 and by making the soil healthier more of this greenhouse gas gets sucked down and converted to sugars. All our solar farms are managed to encourage healthy soil, drawing down carbon and leaving the solar farm soil in better health at the end of its life.
Providing habitat for birds, animals, insects and all nature of critters ensures our solar farms improve the local environment. We even create animal hotels, bat boxes and log piles so everyone has a place to call home.
